Jan 16 (Wed), 7:00pm: Beneath the Garden State, Herb Segars, professional photographer and author will make a fascinating presentation introducing us to the strange and beautiful animals found in the Atlantic Waters off New Jersey. See the beauty of the one-half inch long naked sea butterfly and the fascinating blue shark, sandbar shark and tiger shark. Watch a goosefish devouring a black sea bass or a sea star growing new arms. Tour the 2,000 shipwrecks and numerous artificial reefs made of subway cars, army tanks, armored personnel carriers, and decommissioned ships. This presentation and Herb Segars book will be of interest to divers, snorkelers, fishermen and all others curious about what goes on beyond the boardwalk.
