Fracking in New Jersey, 7:30 pm at Louis Bay 2nd Library, 345 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Matt Smith of Food and Water Watch will address organizing strategies to stop the ongoing proliferation of pipelines, compressor stations and other fracked gas infrastructure throughout our state. He will also talk about the potential to develop the South Newark Basin via fracking, an unconventional shale gas play with an estimated 1.6 billion cubic feet of recoverable gas in NJ, and the ongoing movement to keep drilling out of the Delaware River Basin.
