Friday backpack from Wolverton Trailhead(7283’) in Sequoia National Park to camp at beautiful Alta Meadow (9356’,6.5 miles, 2200’gain),wildflowers and eye-popping scenery. Saturday we go cross-country to Moose Lake and surroundings (7 mi rt ,2000’ gain) to enjoy some spectacular views of the Great Western Divide. We’ll return to our camp at Alta Meadow in the afternoon for some lively conversation, relaxation, and happy hour. Sunday morning there will be an optional x-c adventure to Alta Peak (2.5 mi rt, 1,900’ gain) for a memorable 360 degree view , then out to the cars.
