Pocomoke State Park Md. at Milburn Landing site. Kayak the beautiful Pocomoke River which was recently rated one of the top rivers to paddle by Paddler's Mag. "Pocomoke" is thought to be the Native American word for "black water." This area is also famous for its stands of loblolly pine and for its cypress swamps which border the Pocomoke River. Paddling opportunities include trips up or downstream on the Pocomoke River and creeks feeding into the Pocomoke such as the Nassawango Creek, Dividing Creek, and Corkers Creek which are nearby. Bring binoculars to view the many varied birds and waterfowl. We are camping both nights at Milburn Landing State Park, enjoy the NEW bathhouse and showers, days will be warm and evenings cool. Cabins are available right now. I'm in site #34, try to get something close, I'll be in my Aliner camper. We will have out typical Saturday night group dinner. Minimum of 13' kayak. We will be using the local outfitter to transport our kayaks; very easy and inexpensive! Contact leader for registration and camping location.
