Learn about “your right to know” with a focus on protecting your community. We will have fun while learning interesting facts about how to access public records, with helpful advice for the novice to highly experienced fact finder. Guest Speakers: Laura Tracey-Coll, Sierra Club Activist and Vice President, Elmwood Park Homeowners Bob Grant, NJFOG. Linda Baum, NJFOG. Ms. Baum is also an environmental activist and volunteer for national non-profit Food and Water Watch. After our presentation by Laura Tracey-Coll, representatives of the New Jersey Foundation for Open Government (NJFOG) will be present for Q & A. NJFOG is the only organization of its kind in New Jersey. The non-profit’s sole mission is to increase transparency, accountability, honesty and democracy in government by expanding public access to government records and meetings.
